Biography

Rachel Epstein double majored in Film and Political Science at Johns Hopkins University and furthered her studies at the University of Cambridge in the UK with a M.Phil in Screen Media & Cultures. In 2012, she decided to combine her newly found interest in the law and love of film and began pursuing an accelerated 2 year honors law degree. She went on to work for the Israeli law firm Epstein, Knoller Tenenboim & Co. for a year before returning to the USA to attend Cardozo Law School where she graduated first in her class with a law masters in intellectual property. Rachel’s time at Cardozo introduced her to Prof. Aaron Wright who offered her a job as a research assistant for a book he was co-authoring with Primavera de Filippi titled Blockchain and the Law: Rule of Code. While working on the book about blockchain Rachel became obsessed with the potential of this new decentralized technology and the Ethereum ecosystem, which lead her to working on the legal team at ConsenSys. After about a year on the legal team assisting with transactional work as well as regulatory and policy research and writings, she transitioned to helping the company expand into the Israeli market and start the ConsenSys Israel office. #wearehiring
